  • Be on our email list to learn about upcoming talks, workshops, and tours,
  • Receive our newsletter,
  • Enjoy special discounts, and – most importantly –
  • Contribute to the preservation of this important historic area through grants and special projects.

Your membership dues provide the foundation for our significant activities in historic preservation. Our grants program assists in the maintenance and renewal of historic sites and artifacts in our region for the past ten years with an astounding amount of $50,000 in funds.

This past year has been full of milestones for us as we rolled out our second edition of the Historic Sites in the Middle Peninsula and Essex County (HSBII). As of the end of September 2024, we had sold 500 of the 1,000 books in the second printing. Revenue from the book enables us to provide the needed support to our area’s individuals and organizations seeking to restore historic structures and artifacts such as:

  • Arlington Farm (1789), 624 Kinsale Bridge Road, Kinsale, for materials to replace roof sheathing boards, shingles and flashing with labor by the owner, Page Knight. (See the description in Historic Sites book, page 106.)
  • Wilton on Jackson Creek (1737), 870 Wilton Road, Hague (Westmoreland County), www.facebook.com/wilton1737, for 8×8 oak timbers to serve as the main support for the floor system and support interior walls. The owners, Diane and David
Bostic, did the work. (Historic Sites, page 97.)

We also were able to provide events to our members and the general public with talks and tours, as described on the page News and Events.  All this for a small yearly* membership cost of only $30 for individuals, $35 for families, and $50 for businesses and non-profit organizations!

You can join right now using the Paypal button and form below.
